Del Burk bridged the gap existing between outdoorsmen of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. A born horseman and an avid outdoorsman, he, early in life, hunted to feed his family. This background helped Del turn into his natural skills and interests into a career as a big game guide. This career took him to every province in Western Canada. While living much of his life with hunters, he, as is typical of so many hunters, admired the animals he hunted.
