On June 25th 1950 North Korea crossed the 38th Parallel into The Republic of Korea where hostilities raged for 3yrs and more. This invasion was declared a breach of peace and 16 member nations joined forces to resist the aggression. Canada's contribution was 3rd with U.S.A. and Great Britain exceeding. Her Willingness to uphold the United Nations ideals and to take up arms in support of peace and freedom. There are 516 dead Canadians inscribed in the Korea Book of Remembrance. Dedicated to Canadians who served in the mountains and rice paddies, on sea and in the air.
